Ada tiga jenis kain tenun ikat, yaitu ikat lungsi, ikat pakan, dan ikat ganda yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia.<\/p>\n<h4>Ikat Lungsi<\/h4>\n<p>Motif kain dibentuk dengan mengikat dan mewarnai benang lungsi (vertikal) di kain sebelum ditenun<\/p>\n<h4>Ikat Pakan<\/h4>\n<p>Motif kain dibentuk dengan mengikat dan mewarnai benang pakan (horizontal) di kain sebelum ditenun<\/p>\n<h4>Ikat Ganda<\/h4>\n<p>Motif dibentuk dari gabungan benang lungsi dan pakan yang sudah diwarnai, termasuk teknik yang langka di dunia<\/p>\n<h5>Ikat Lungsi<\/h5>\n<h3>Harungguan<\/h3>\n<p>Serupa galeri, Ulos Harungguan adalah ruang pamer sekaligus rekam jejak kecakapan perajin dalam membuat motif. Berisi minimal 15 motif, hanya penenun berpengalaman yang bisa membuat kain ini. Harungguan<\/h4>\n\n<h2>Teknik Pakan Tambah<\/h2>\n<p>Pakan tambah umum dipakai di wastra rumpun melayu. Dengan teknik ini, motif dibuat dengan menambahkan benang pakan (horizontal) berwarna ke kain tenun yang telah jadi.<\/p>\n<h5>Songket<\/h5>\n<h3>Sadum<\/h3>\n<p>Seperti motifnya yang meriah, Ulos Sadum menyimbolkan suka cita dan harapan orang tua pada anak-anaknya. Motif bunga, gorga, dan makhluk hidup mengisi kain Ulos Sadum. Umumnya membentuk motif geometris sederhana berulang atau berupa garis ke arah lungsi (vertikal), hampir bisa ditemukan di semua kain Ulos Batak sebagai hiasan
